We are an established guttering and roofing company based in Newcastle and Central Coast. We specialise in gutter installation, COLORBOND roofing, roof ventilation, gutter guards, leaf guards and much more. JD’s works with residential, commercial and industrial properties, as well as real estate agents, property managers and builders.

How it all started…
JD’s stands for John and Doug — lifelong friends who grew up in St Marys in Sydney’s Western Suburbs. They met in Year 7 and have been close mates ever since.
At 16, they decided school wasn’t the right path for them and began working across various trades, including plumbing and boilermaking, before discovering their true calling in roofing. What started as two friends enjoying working together soon turned into a successful business partnership, and JD’s Guttering & Metal Roofing was established.
For more than 25 years, John and Doug built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service.
Doug later watched his youngest son, Kyle, follow in his footsteps — learning from the best and eventually taking over operations of JD’s Guttering from John and Doug. While John retired some years ago, Doug remains actively involved in the business, now working alongside Kyle and continuing the family legacy.
Today, the head office of JD’s Guttering & Metal Roofing is based in Newcastle, delivering dependable service backed by decades of hands-on experience.
